First And Final Time

We have never felt the need to write a review, until at present. The sites are close together - the laundry room ( entitled "bathhouse") was deplorable; linoleum chipped floor, rundown edifice, very heavy door, no clean surface to fold dress, no timers on the washers and dryers, no shut off on the dryer we used when you open the door to check since there is no timer, dress never did dry out in the 2 dryers we used, no change car, for change you take to walk down the hill to the role and so back up the steep hill once again. We were going to stop in the office to tell them my comments in person but felt, like others, the young staff wouldn't care. In addition, the roads are terrible with large ruts with what appears no replenishment of gravel. Besides, Information technology's very hard to enter and get out this campground, too much traffic. Only giving 1 star in order to submit this review.

The office staff is too young to understand customer service. Maintenance staff is very helpful. Bathroom is clean and overall, a make clean army camp ground. Trout pond besides the camp site is outstanding. Laundry machine is a bit dated, simply at to the lowest degree it's in good working status. Tin't beat out the weather, cool in the morning and very pleasant. Middle of other activities, such as biking and hiking. Will stay again.

We have stayed hither many times over 40 years first in a pop-up and now a travel trailer and always on the first row most the creek. The campground is in a good location for u.s. and we have always felt comfy in that location. This yr nosotros ran into a couple problems. As my husband was maneuvering to park our TT, he made 1 pull forward to finally place the camper. As he did, he totally hit a Large rock that had been placed in the opening to a walkway. From the cab of his pick-upwards, he could non see the rock. I spoke with the girl in the function and she said maybe they should paint the rock. I suggested a flag because you cannot run across the rock at all painted or non. When we left, nothing had been done. I volition also say, the 2 girls in the office that we interfaced with were not friendly at all.....not good in the hospitality industry. Disappointed in our latest stay. They are getting rid of their cable television set this yr. Nosotros as well had to back downward the route from our camping spot to leave.

Grandfathered Out

After a good stay last flavour we arrived to a hillside site .Difficult to hook upwards on slope. Our expected view was totally blocked by an old green moldy rv parked on height of us. Should take never been allowed in. We had planned on staying through the fall only will be leaving asap. Won't be back over again.

Frequent Visitors

We like this identify and the simple temper. We never have an issue and we typically stay here several times a year, specially during winter when other parks are closed. It's nigh the Ski Lodges and Grandfather Mount Park and Trail (plan a ride and hike upwardly the vii miles). Yes, Previous staff members were more friendly in comparison only it'south nevertheless a Great place to stay. Our stays are always on the 1st row most office and average vii-10 days. Never had an event finding it since 1st visit several years ago and never drove a sketchy route. The specialty GPS's and Map books will make sure you lot employ the right roads. Nosotros live in a 40' Fifth Wheel...

Roadtrek camper

Campground was difficult to find. Views were nifty only campsites were crowded. Good location for visiting local sights in Boone and Banner Elk.

Accost Is Wrong

This campground is in Banner Elk not Boone. This app took us an hr out of the manner and to a mountain road not broad plenty for RVs.

Okay Campground.

Nosotros were camped backed up to a pocket-size creek. The sites were very close together. Cable Idiot box requires a cable box so I didn't bother. The campground wasn't ideal for united states, just I would stay again.
